Cookie Policy
Last updated May 20, 2026. How Otaku Shinden uses browser storage and what that means for you.
Section 1
What Are Cookies
Cookies and similar browser storage technologies are small pieces of data stored on your device by a website. They are used to remember information about your visit and improve your experience.
Section 2
How We Use Browser Storage
Otaku Shinden stores your authentication token and user preferences (such as theme and language) in localStorage to keep you signed in and maintain your settings between sessions. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
Section 3
Session and Authentication
When you log in, an access token is saved in your browser's localStorage. This token allows the platform to authenticate your requests without requiring you to log in repeatedly. Clearing your browser data will sign you out.
Section 4
Analytics and Performance
We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns, such as which features are most used. These tools do not track you across other websites and do not use personally identifiable cross-site data.
Section 5
Third-Party Services
Our payment processor (PayU) and other integrated services may set their own cookies during checkout or OAuth flows. These are governed by the respective third-party privacy policies and are outside our direct control.
Section 6
Your Choices
You can clear cookies and localStorage data at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and reset your local preferences. Most browsers also allow you to block or limit cookies, though some platform features may not work correctly if you do.
Section 7
Policy Updates
We may update this policy as our use of storage technologies changes. Continued use of the platform after updates indicates acceptance of the revised version.
